Rotary Club donates wheelchairs to PSRD school

LAHORE: The Rotary Club of Lahore Garrison has donated wheelchairs to deserving students of a school being run by the Pakistan Society for Rehabilitation of the Disabled (PSRD).
The chairs were distributed at a function held here on Sunday.
Rotarian Sherazee was chief guest while District Governor Nominee (DGN) Rotarian Shehzad Ahmed was guest of honor.
Gifts were distributed among the students of the school by Shehzad Ahmed and members of the Executive Committee of the PSRD.
Speaking on the occasion, Shehzad thanked the corporate organizations such as Mobilink and Metro for sponsoring distribution of wheelchairs and gifts for the students.
He also motivated students to study diligently so that they could become productive members of the society and be one of the donors for their school in the future.
Parveen Umer, the general secretary of PSRD informed that the society has started providing free artificial limbs to the poor through the Rotary Foundation Matching Grant and progress report would be submitted on a regular basis.
One of the alumni presented annual report of the Old Students Association.
