Wheelchairs distributed among disabled childrens

Islamabad— Pakistan Society for Rehabilitation of the Disabled (PSRD) Old Students Association organized an Annual Eid Gift Function to present gifts to the school children at the PSRD School. PSRD School primarily caters to the needs of disabled students and has more than 200 students.

Mr. Sherazee graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while District Governor Nominee (DGN) Rotarian Shehzad Ahmed was invited as the Guest of Honor. The ceremony started with recitation from the Holy Quran.

One of the alumni presented Annual Report of the Old Students Association. It was informed that many old students from the school are performing their responsibilities in their respective organizations with full dedication and commitment.

Later, gifts were distributed among the students of the school through DGN Shehzad Ahmed and members of the Executive Committee of PSRD.

In his speech, DGN Shehzad appreciated efforts of the Old Students Association and PSRD School management in organizing such a wonderful function.

He thanked the corporate organizations, such as Mobilink and Metro for sponsoring wheel chairs and gifts for the students. He also motivated students to study diligently so that they can become productive members of the society and be one of the donors for their school in the future.

Rotary Club of Lahore Garrison also donated four wheel chairs to deserving students of the PSRD School.

After the function, Mrs. Parveen Umer, General Secretary PSRD, informed that PSRD has started providing free artificial limbs to the poor through The Rotary Foundation Matching Grant and progress report would be submitted on a regular basis.--NNI

PSRD School caters to the needs of disabled students and has more than 200 students.
